FBC Digital Meeting: SDR and investment labels: how are fund boards overseeing implementation?

The FCA’s Sustainability Disclosure Regime (SDR) and fund labelling policy was the theme of a FBC digital event on 22 Feb 2024, with a focus on how firms are approaching execution and how fund boards are providing oversight. Chaired by FBC senior adviser Brandon Horwitz, the panellists included Susan Spiller from Royal London Asset Management, Martin Kearney from Liontrust, and Dawn Hyams, an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Topics discussed included how firms are preparing for SDR, the role of the fund board, changing fund objectives and strategies, the importance of customer understanding and the need for clear and effective communication.
