  • An interactive format with opportunities to share your own experiences

More details

As firms enter 2026 balancing revenue ambitions, cost pressures and growing product complexity, governance is often viewed as an obligation rather than a strategic asset. FBC’s January 2026 Fund Governance event aims to reframe that conversation. This session will demonstrate that effective governance not only supports regulatory expectations but directly contributes to commercial performance—strengthening product credibility, supporting distribution conversations, improving decision-making and helping firms avoid unnecessary cost.

The event will feature executive-level voices from distribution, COO/CFO and CEO perspectives, who will share real examples of how governance has benefited their organisations in measurable ways. Their insights will highlight governance as a source of competitive advantage, improved operational clarity and better commercial outcomes—not simply a compliance exercise.

After the event, attendees will receive a summary with proof points to help justify governance spending, especially when facing questions about its value, particularly when challenged on time, resources or budget. The session is designed to be highly interactive, with space for members to share their own experiences, challenges and successes, ensuring the discussion is grounded in real-world practice.

As the first major discussion of 2026, this event sets the tone for the year ahead—equipping firms with tangible arguments and evidence to champion good governance throughout their organisations and to ensure it is recognised as a driver of both commercial and operational value.
