Following requests from members, FBC is creating a new forum for senior governance professionals and company secretaries to share insights and expertise on key fund governance topics.
The FBC Senior Governance Group is open to asset management executives with direct responsibility for governance and company secretary functions for fund and management company boards across multiple jurisdictions (likely a combination of UK, Ireland and Luxembourg).
The Group meets online once a quarter with a focused agenda that enables participants to share insights and knowledge on key strategic topics of interest to this function such as the infrastructure firms have in place to support their independent non-executive directors and the use of AI for board effectiveness. FBC also provides the group with insights from its own research in these areas and other areas related to the governance and company secretariat function as well as giving participants the opportunity to input into and help shape FBC’s fund board effectiveness research agenda.
