New Role at FBC: Head of Editorial Content

A senior leadership role at FBC with full responsibility for shaping, curating and executing on FBC’s growing body of editorial content in a multimedia environment. Work from home, four days a week, and be a part of an organisation that sits at the heart of investment governance in the UK, and across Europe.

You will:

  • Plan, write, edit and commission
  • Have long- and short-form writing and editing skills, and work across multimedia including video and audio
  • Curate and build FBC’s Research Bank
  • Support, as required, the build-out FBC’s Assessment of Value Report Bank
  • Work on new research and editorial ideas to support FBC’s content/engagement goals
  • Analyse large data sets to identify trends for features and other editorial output

You will take direct responsibility for:

  • FBC’s Fortnightly News Blog
  • FBC’s Quarterly Newsletter
  • Editorialising all FBC in-person/virtual engagements

You will also get involved with:

  • Longer-term research, benchmarking and analytics-based projects including surveys
  • FBC’s in-person/virtual engagements, selectively

You need to have/be:

  • Very strong communications skills, especially around writing and editing
  • Strong on ideas, even stronger on execution, with a focus on delivery to deadlines
  • The ability to work as part of a small, fast growing organisation, but with independence
  • The ability to engage with senior industry participants right across the asset management industry and their fund boards in the UK, and overseas
  • Previous experience of having worked for at least five years in an strong editorial environment in UK/European financial services, and asset management specifically, is highly desirous. Evidence of output required
  • Knowledge of investment/fund governance isn’t essential, but preferred

And, finally

  • This is a remote working role, with an expectation of your ability to travel into London, as required
  • This is a four day a week role, ideally split over the working week; at a minimum you must have the ability to engage over all five working days of the week, when required
  • Right to work in the UK essential
  • This is a PAYE role, with flexibility to be set-up for an independent contractor, if required
