Governance and Oversight: iNEDs and the role of the Depositary takes a deeper look. Shiv Taneja is joined by funds lawyer and fund board independent director, Kirstene Baillie and Mark Crathern, Head of NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services to examine how the relationship between depositary and fund board is changing and the opportunities for depositaries to step out of the shadows and more actively engage with directors – both executive and independent – to better support them as they discharge their fund governance responsibilities.

This event marked the final discussion of this year’s iNED Bootcamp in which leading governance practitioners looked into the future of fund governance and helped us answer “what does success look like?”. We assessed what the future may hold for fund boards, how they might evolve to meet the shifting regulatory environment and adapt to the changing needs and expectations of investors.
