FBC was delighted to welcome back the Financial Conduct Authority for an open dialogue with FBC member fund board chairs, CEOs and iNEDs at our exclusive members Council meeting, on 2 December 2021.
The FCA’s Garry Murdoch and Aiden McEvoy joined us, providing a brief look back over the past year, followed by what authorised fund managers (AFMs) and their fund boards can expect from the FCA in 2022. Philip Warland, Chair of FBC’s Advisory Council, hosted the meeting where Garry and Aiden discussed the key issues of fund liquidity, ESG and the implications for fund boards, the FCA’s AoV Review issued in the summer, along with a wide range of other topics including Consumer Duty and Distributor Oversight.
