The end of dog-eared diary notes and tedious timesheets?
FBC launches new Directors Activity Log
FBC is delighted to announce the launch of the brand new FBC Director’s Activity Log, an online tool that has been designed for directors to record, track and, where necessary, report on the work they undertake and hours they spend as part of their board roles.
Whether it be reading board packs, attending board or committee meetings or spending time on research, the demands on directors’ time are many, varied and growing.
Based on feedback from FBC members, it is clear that the ability to log time spent, accompanied by detailed notes, and then report on this activity is increasingly important. Thanks to input and testing from a panel of independent directors and our members, FBC has developed a secure, easy-to-use online tool that helps directors record, review and report on the time they spend discharging their governance duties.
Here are just a few of the ways in which the FBC Log can be used:
- Keeping track of hours preparing for and in board meetings
- Logging work undertaken outside of official board meetings – e.g. on committees, informal meetings, ad-hoc calls and discussions.
- Monitoring time spent on specific projects – such as Assessment of Value reporting
- Keeping track of individual professional development – e.g. research, reading, training, CPD hours.
Personal to each member, it can be used for a wide variety of board roles, including those on fund boards, corporate or not-for-profit boards.
Access to the Log is via members’ existing login credentials, providing an easily-accessible and secure location in which to store their data.
Members can access the Log directly here: The FBC Log
