We know that keeping connected is particularly important in uncertain times – especially as face-to-face meetings may be on hold for a while longer yet.
So, we are pleased to announce the launch of a series of FBC Digital Meetings, designed to help our members and wider community access the latest fund governance thinking on a wider range of topics, from behind their desk.
In the next couple of months, we’ll cover topics such as maintaining board effectiveness in uncertain times, cyber-risk considerations for fund boards and looking at emerging best practice around Assessment of Value – to name but a few!
We hope these Digital Meetings will be particularly useful to our members and wider community during the lockdown period and that, as our membership continues to grow and now includes directors based outside of the UK, these Digital Meetings will help them, and others not readily able to get to London, to keep up-to-date on an extensive range of investment governance themes.
The majority of FBC’s Digital Meetings are currently open to both members and non-members and are free to join live. FBC members also will be able to view recordings of the meetings at their convenience, directly from their Member Portal.
The Digital Meeting schedule also includes the first of FBC’s new Executive Governance Roundtables. These are a series of small, closed-door, roundtable discussions aimed exclusively at executives at FBC Corporate Member firms who are involved in fund governance and those on “board-track”. We start with a dedicated online event for Company Secretaries on 28th May 2020 and you can find more details about the full schedule of Executive Governance Roundtables – both online and in person meetings – in the What We Do section of our website.
As with all our events, we’ve created these meetings based on feedback and suggestions from many of you and we are very grateful for that input. If there is a particular topic you’d like us to cover in the future, we’d love to hear from you so do please get in touch and let us know.
..but, for now, pull up a chair and join us for some insightful discussions!
