Aspiring and incumbent fund board independent directors (iNEDs) are warmly invited to join us for an afternoon of insightful and informative discussion and networking.
Bootcamp attendees will hear from leading fund board chairs on their experience of working with independent directors and the opportunities that greater independence on fund boards brings.
Then it is the turn of the iNEDs themselves as three experienced independent directors take to the stage to share their experiences as an independent voice on their fund board.
Next up, we will examine in detail the responsibilities and liabilities that iNEDs face and discuss how they can effectively keep track of and address the ongoing requirements of the role.
In the final session of the afternoon, we will convene an expert panel of board directors from across investment fund governance to compare and contrast experiences from workplace pensions, master trusts, fund boards and investment trusts. We will ask what fund boards, and iNEDs in particular, can learn from the governance experience of those in other areas and examine opportunities to tap into this combined expertise on an ongoing basis.
Finally, please join us for networking drinks immediately after the event finishes at 5.00pm.
