We are delighted to announce further details about UK Fund Boards’ Boot Camp for prospective and existing independent non-executive directors of UK mutual fund boards. The afternoon event will give an insight into what fund management firms are looking for in independent directors, how best to prepare for an iNED role and the regulatory responsibilities the role entails.
We are delighted to also welcome Susan Wyderko, CEO of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum in the United States who will discuss the experience of directors across the Atlantic and assess what UK mutual fund boards can learn from markets such as the US that have already been through similar changes.

The event will start with a keynote speech, after which we’ll dive straight into our first panel session: Nose In, Hands Out: What Do Fund Managers Want From Their iNEDs? In this session, recruiters and board directors from leading fund management firms will discuss what firms are looking for from independent non-executive directors. They’ll also share where they are going to find these directors, what their expectations are and what they are willing to pay for these directors’ services.
